Description ‘Arianna’ is a beautifully restored G & J Lines rocking horse on a safety stand, c1920. Arianna is a lovely fully restored example of an extra large size dappled rocking horse from the renowned makers G & J Lines. She has a fixed leather bridle and two tone saddle, with matching stirrup leathers, reins, crupper and martingale, with two removable pommels which were used to teach young ladies to ride side-saddle – if not wanted they can be removed and the holes have a fitted cover already. Her real horsehair mane & tail complement her colours and red rosettes, and she has lifelike glass eyes with a very friendly face and good solid proportions, so would be a great addition to any home. She is in wonderful condition with only a few movement lines now after a lovely restoration at Ringinglow Rocking Horses in 2006, and has many, many years ahead of her. This model is made from top quality materials, so Arianna is a really solid horse and will command any room she is put in. We have lots of receipts and details of her restoration, with photographs of her “before, during and after” her reworking, showing the great amount of work which has gone into what you see now.
