Tip is quite sharp when new but quickly wears to a slightly more rounded shape – this does not affect the efficiency of the stud in use. SupaStuds are made from British steel that is subjected to a high tech hardening process which makes the whole stud, not just the tip, stronger and more hard-wearing than tungsten. This process gives the studs their blue/black appearance rendering them almost completely rust resistant. SupaStuds are not self-tapping studs.
